Proper packaging is essential to protect your materials in transit. Packages that arrive opened, damaged, or improperly sealed will be documented with photographs before processing. If you have any questions before you ship, please contact your sales representative.

Before packaging, sort your materials by type to help us process your lot accurately and efficiently:

• Place loose items in a sealed plastic bag or wrap in plastic film to prevent shifting during transit.
• If sending multiple lots, clearly label each bag or bundle with your name and the material type.
• Before placing your contents in the box, take a clear photo of your material.

Proper packaging protects your materials and ensures they arrive intact. Use a rigid, corrugated cardboard box — not simply an envelope or padded mailer.

• Choose a box that fits your materials snugly — avoid oversized boxes with excessive empty space.
• Wrap your sealed bag or bundle in bubble wrap or packing paper to cushion against impact.
• Fill any remaining space in the box with packing material — bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or crumpled paper — so contents cannot shift.
• Do not use envelopes, soft mailers, or plastic bags as your outer packaging — these are not preferred and can affect insurance coverage; however, they can be used for inner packaging.
• If reusing a box, remove or black out all previous shipping labels and markings.
• Seal all seams of the box with strong packing tape — tape all edges, not just the center seam (this is how most packages are compromised!).

• When using a bucket or a drum, please make sure it is sealed securely before shipping.

Place a packing slip inside your box. Do not write the contents of your package on the outside of the box. Keep the exterior label neutral.

When not using a label provided by NMR, NMR accepts shipments via FedEx and UPS only. We recommend you do not ship via USPS or any other carrier.

• Use FedEx Priority Overnight, UPS Next Day Air, or armored carrier for all precious metal shipments. Ground service is not preferred.
• Declare the full value of your shipment and purchase carrier insurance accordingly.
• Require a signature upon delivery — select "Direct Signature Required" or equivalent.
• Do not use precious metal or jeweler identifiers on your label — abbreviate accordingly.
• Keep your tracking number and a copy of your shipping receipt until your lot has been confirmed received by NMR.

Once your package is dropped off, send us a quick email or call with your tracking number. This allows our receiving team to watch for your shipment and confirm receipt promptly.

• Email or call your tracking number to your sales representative.
• We will confirm receipt upon delivery.

If Noble Metal Refining receives your package in a damaged or opened condition, we will:

1. Photograph the package and its condition upon receipt.
2. Notify you promptly via phone or email with documentation.
3. Provide documentation to support any carrier insurance claim you may need to file.

Noble Metal Refining is not responsible for material discrepancies on shipments received in a damaged or compromised condition. Following these packaging guidelines is your best protection.
